Multilingual sites

One QR code, every language of your site

With Webflow Localization, each QR code exists in every language of your site. Visitors are sent to the page in their language, then to the right destination.

Free plan included · Premium from 10 €/month · Team 39 €/month · Updated October 23, 2026

A QR code on a site in three languages, with a specific destination for French.

Multilingual sites

Why it helps

  • One code to print

No more one code per language on your materials.

  • The right language

Visitors are sent to their language automatically.

  • Flexible

Same destination everywhere, or a specific URL per language.

01

Visitors land in their language

The redirect page detects the visitor's language and opens the matching version of your site, which then redirects to that language's destination. If a language is not published, the main one is used.

02

Same destination, or one per language

By default, every language follows the main destination. Set a specific URL for a language when its page differs, for example a French menu and an English menu.

  • Follows the main destination by default
  • A specific URL per language
  • Missing languages created in one click
03

Redirect page translated

The loading and “inactive” messages are translated automatically in the languages of your site, without editing the page in each locale.

Use cases

How teams use it day to day, with a concrete example for each.

  • Tourism and culture

Hotels, museums and tourist offices welcome visitors from everywhere. One printed code opens the page in each visitor's language automatically.

    • Language detected from the browser
    • One code instead of one per language
    • Fallback to the main language

    Exampleyoursite.com/qr/museum-tour/en, /fr, /de…

  • International brands

A single packaging shipped to several countries. The code on the box opens the right language version of your site, with its own destination if needed.

    • One packaging, several markets
    • A specific URL per language
    • Redirect page translated automatically

    Exampleyoursite.com/qr/product-guide/de/anleitung

  • Trade fairs and conferences

International attendees scan the same badge or poster and land in their language, without a language picker step.

    • Same badge for every attendee
    • Language-specific programs
    • Works with Webflow Localization

    Exampleyoursite.com/qr/expo-plan/fr/plan

  • Public services and schools

Notices and forms often need several languages. Print one code and let each family read the page in theirs.

    • Accessible information
    • Fewer printed versions
    • Update every language anytime

    Exampleyoursite.com/qr/enrolment/es/inscripcion

Questions

Do I need Webflow Localization?

Only for multilingual codes. Without Localization, QR codes work the same on a single-language site.

How is the visitor's language detected?

From the browser's preferred languages, matched with the languages published on your site.

Can each language have its own destination?

Yes. Leave it empty to follow the main destination, or set a specific URL per language.
