QR Manager for Google Slides

Insert your dynamic QR codes in Google Slides presentations, create new ones from the sidebar, and keep them up to date when their style changes.

The add-on opens a sidebar in Google Slides with the QR codes of your QR Manager account.

A Google Slides presentation with a QR code inserted, and the QR Manager sidebar.
A QR code on a slide, and the add-on's sidebar.

Open the add-on

  1. Install QR Manager from the Google Workspace Marketplace (Extensions → Add-ons → Get add-ons in Slides).
  2. In a presentation, choose Extensions → QR Manager → Open QR Manager.
  3. Click Connect my account. A page opens with a pairing code: sign in to QR Manager (a free account works), check that the code is the same, and allow Google Slides.

Insert a QR code

Click + on a code: it is added in the middle of the current slide, ready to move and resize. New creates a code from the sidebar and inserts it.

Keep presentations up to date

The add-on finds the QR Manager codes in your presentation. When one’s style changes in QR Manager, it offers to update it: the new image replaces the old one in place, everywhere it appears.

The add-on only accesses the presentation it is opened in: no access to your Drive or other files. If several Google accounts are signed in in your browser, open the presentation in a window with one account only.

Frequently asked questions

What can the Google Slides add-on access?

Only the presentation it is opened in, and its sidebar. It has no access to your Drive or your other files.

Why does adding a QR code fail with several Google accounts signed in?

Google Workspace add-ons can lose access when several Google accounts are signed in in the same browser. Open the presentation in a window signed in to one account only, such as a private window or a separate Chrome profile.
