UTM parameters are added to a code’s destination, so visits that come from a scan appear as their own campaign in Google Analytics, Webflow Analytics or any analytics tool.
Turn it on for a code
- In the code’s form, check UTM tracking.
- Set Source (
utm_source, e.g.qr-code), Medium (utm_medium, e.g.print,sticker,flyer) and Campaign (utm_campaign). - Campaign follows the code’s address until you type your own value.
- Save: the parameters are added to the destination, and to language-specific destinations on multilingual sites.
For example, a code on a window sticker can lead to:
https://yoursite.com/menu?utm_source=qr-code&utm_medium=sticker&utm_campaign=window
Defaults for new codes
- In the Webflow app: Settings → Automatic UTM sets the default source and medium and can turn UTM on for every new code (kept in your browser).
- In Figma: the plugin settings hold default UTM tracking per site.
Read the results
- In your analytics tool, filter on the campaign, source or medium.
- In QR Manager, Statistics → Campaigns groups scans by campaign, source, medium or category (Premium). See Scan statistics.
